For everyday use on the phone and, optionally, audio in Android Auto: YouTube playlists, music, radio and offline library.

Most people only need Music. Install Video EXP only if you specifically want the experimental parked-video mode. Downloads come directly from the project’s GitHub Releases.
For everyday use on the phone and, optionally, audio in Android Auto: YouTube playlists, music, radio and offline library.
Separate experimental app for video on the car display while parked. It is not required for music and must not be used for watching video while driving.
The project contains far more than a basic player. These are the features confirmed in the repository documentation and current release notes.
Sign in, use playlists from your YouTube account and arrange which playlists appear in Android Auto without changing the playlists on your account.
Search stations, browse favorites, recent stations, countries and genres, with stream failover and an optional live/DVR buffer on supported streams.
Download complete playlists, resume interrupted downloads and play local audio without a network connection.
Optional smart reserve can prepare recent listening, liked music and recent playlists for weak or missing connectivity.
Background playback, screen-off playlist continuation, audio/subtitle track selection, gestures, sleep timer, zoom and Smart Fit.
Mobile UI integration can show SponsorBlock/chapter markers and DeArrow community titles/thumbnails.
Android Auto integration is optional and uses the Music app. The app can open the right settings and verify its media service, but Android requires you to enable protected options yourself.
Install WaveAA on the Android phone. Add Video EXP only if you want the separate parked-video experiment.
In WaveAA open Settings → Android Auto → Open Android Auto settings.
Tap “Version and permission info” 10 times, then open Android Auto developer settings.
Enable “Unknown sources” in Android Auto developer settings. Only install APKs you trust and use the project’s GitHub Releases.
Return to WaveAA, confirm the protected steps and choose “Add / check”.
Disconnect and reconnect the phone, or restart Android Auto. Your playlists, radio and offline library can then appear through the media service.
Radio 2.0 is shared between the phone and Android Auto. Favorites and recently played stations are kept locally, and Android Auto exposes a practical radio tree instead of one giant list.
The offline subsystem stores private local audio, supports playlist downloads and can fall back to a saved copy when connectivity disappears in Android Auto.
Queue whole playlists, pause/resume/retry transfers and continue from partial files using HTTP Range when supported.
Optional mode can save audio after a chosen amount of real listening time. It is off by default because it uses storage and data.
Browse Recently saved, Offline playlists and Offline favorites. Explicit offline playback never silently falls back to network streaming.
Optional planner prepares a practical reserve for trips using recent listening, likes and recent playlists.
